Bringing DREAM WEDDINGS to Life! "Since 1992"
The Foundation of JBL’s Technical Leadership JBL's well-earned reputation has placed its speakers in 70% of all professional institutions, including legendary recording studios, famous concert venues and premier movie houses. Throughout those 50+ years of technical breakthroughs, award winning designs and continuing innovations the facts still remain: JBL loudspeakers continue to be the one benchmark for quality, the singular reference for accuracy in the play back of recorded sounds; the leader, the innovator, the authority.
JBL SR and SR-X Series — The Complete Story For over a decade, JBL SR series loudspeaker cabinets have represented the best performance, highest quality and most advanced driver technology available to portable PA users. The JBL SR-X series continues that tradition and moves the bar even higher. The advanced technology of JBL SR-X series speakers delivers the power and performance that you would expect from the highest quality, professional rig. As for the JBL SR-X4732 cabinet, IMO that is one of the very best sounding mid / high packs you can buy. You will not be sorry, very smooth and solid as a rock. I've used them in various bands for many years. For smooth mids, you can't beat 12" cones. The JBL SR-X Series Is More Than Great Style. There will always be a category of musicians, DJ’s, clubs and institutions that demand the best speaker systems made. The new JBL SR-X Series was designed for these most discerning users, with 11 models that embody the superior engineering, unsurpassed tour sound performance, legendary reliability and value inherent in the JBL name. Start with the JBL SR-X’s advanced DuraFlex™ finish. Add their all-new networks and crossovers. Top them off with the same components found in 9 out of 10 speaker systems on the road with today’s top touring acts*. All wrapped up in a speaker whose lineage is connected by a solid line of leadership more than half a century long.
VGC™ (Vented Gap Cooling) JBL’s unique low frequency transducers control heat build-up to increase power handling and decrease power compression, providing more acoustic output for every watt of amplifier input. 13-ply Birch Cabinets All enclosures are constructed of 13-ply void-free baltic birch. The result is a solid enclosure free from resonances. . . What you hear is the speaker system, not the box. Dual Mode Crossovers The solution for total system flexibility can be easily switched from full-range to bi-amplified operation. A tamper-resistant, internal mode selector provides a visible, external indication of the selected mode. * Based on “Top 10” survey of box office results conducted by Amusement Business Weekly. Includes JBL systems, proprietary systems using JBL components, manufactured systems using JBL OEM components. Conjugate-Zobel Dividing Networks JBL'S SR-X Series speakers are designed to maintain maximum sensitivity. So your amplifier’s power gets to the speakers instead of going to waste heating up crossover components. In addition, while each JBLSR-X speaker has a personality all its own; the line as a whole delivers a remarkable range of options. In fact, the JBL SR-X line is the most complete line of high performance speakers available today, with a model for virtually every application. Whether your needs call for JBLSR-X subwoofers, JBL SR-X front-of-house systems or SR-X stage monitors, you can be assured of owning a speaker that represents a new standard; a standard that will satisfy even the toughest of critics. In short, you can be assured that the new JBL SR-X systems are more than just the most prestigious speakers in their class. . . They also boast massive amounts of true JBL technology, quality and substance. ‘My band's PA system currently consists of a powered mixer, two JBL TR225's, two JBL SR4702X monitors, a Crown CE1000 power amp (for TR225's) and a QSC PLX3402 amp (monitors). I was looking at the rest of the JBL SR-X series and was curious as to what I should purchase next? I was looking at the JBL SR-X4732 (two 12" speakers/3 way), the JBL SR-X4733 (two 15" speakers/2 way) and the JBL SR-X4719 (two 18" subs). I've read through a lot of these threads and my basic understanding is that 12 inch drivers sound much better than 15's, ESPECIALLY when paired with subwoofers. “I really feel that using the industry standard gear is important in live sound production. The clients don't know much about production and the musicians know less; so it's important in my opinion to use the same gear that most of the other sound major production companies are using so that these people will recognize it and approve of it. JBL SR and JBL SR-X series is the most common speaker type used by professionals in regional touring, festival and small to medium venue production.” When solid bass is called for, team up the SR4722X with an SR-X Series JBL SR-X 4732 and the Crown Macro-tech 3600-vz! Paired with JBL 18" subwoofers combined with JBL SR-X 4732 3-way full-range speakers, this configuration is ideally suited to sound reinforcement and music playback use where low-frequency extension, mid-range clarity and projection are critical, mobile DJs and musicians will appreciate the simplicity and performance of the JBL SR-X loudspeaker series line-up. Sound companies will also find the entire JBL SR-X series to be a flexible addition to their sound reinforcement arsenals. The JBL SR-X 4732 enclosure may be used in full-range or bi-amplified modes with a passive cross-over handling the transition from the mid-range to the high-frequency driver. A pair of JBL SR-X 4732 Dual 12" 3-way speakers. Paired with JBL 18" subwoofers combined with JBL SR-X 4732 3-way full-range speakers, these speakers are extremely crisp, clean sounding, powerful and loud. Suitable for medium to large size events and venues where extended club style bass and sound is desired, ideal for school dances and large weddings. I have a pair of JBL SRX4732 speakers matched with a Crown Macro-tech 3600-VZ amplifier. It sounds AWESOME. For Proms and High School Dances - JBL SR and JBLSRX Series Loudspeakers, powered by Crown Macro-tech amps are the absolute best. I love them! I just wish they were smaller and easier to carry around. For the right price, however, I would consider parting with them as I'm now focusing more on smaller wedding venues than I am on Proms and other High School events. JBL SR-X series speakers are nearly overkill for the average wedding, so I'm looking at going with some smaller powered speakers. JBL SR-X s e r i e s Specifications

Steve The JBL SRX SERIES also boast massive amounts of true JBL technology, quality and substance. For as long as the world has been listening to recorded sound, JBL has been the industry’s most visible and successful force for technical advancement. Starting with the world’s first cinema systems, continuing with the Alnico Magnet transducer after the second world war and most recently with the patented Differential Drive transducers in today’s EON speakers, JBL’s technical leadership is unrivaled. This commitment to invention entails what has become a unique experimentation with new designs, new components and new materials. Over the last five years, the results of this investment include names like JBL EONо, JBL ControlоContractor Series, JBL HLA™ Series, JBL LSR monitors, and now the new JBL SR-X Series; each representing an award winning product solution founded on JBL’s singular recipe of invention, innovation and ingenuity. How JBL Tortures Speakers: At JBL Professional, we subject our designs to the most rigorous and demanding testing in the industry. As a result, the power rating specification of a JBL Professional product may be lower than that of a competitive speaker which has less actual power handling capacity. •JBL tests speaker systems as systems. Some competitive speaker systems are rated based on the power rating of the individual transducers. Actually, the power handling of the individual components doesn’t tell the entire story. When a transducer is installed in an enclosure, it may not be able to dissipate heat as well as it did outside the box. Or the crossover network might fail long before the transducers. When you select a JBL speaker system, you know that the design has been tested as a complete system. •JBL tests speaker designs for over 100 hours. A speaker system typically doesn’t reach its maximum operating tempera- ture for at least 2 or more hours. Yet some manufacturers make power handling claims based on mere minutes of testing. At JBL we test our designs for 100 hours at rated power output. Our 100 hour power test subjects the speaker to more stress and strain than it would get in years of actual use. At the end of this torture, the speaker must still perform to specification. •JBL uses the IEC spectrum for testing speakers. The IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) has established a standard for a loudspeaker test signal. This method uses shaped noise in a specified frequency range (50 Hz—5 kHz), a specified high and low-pass filter slope, and a specified “crest factor” (the ratio between the average and peak signal level). IEC shaped noise places greater demands on a speaker than real music. Crown International The Crown Macro-Tech Series of Amplifiers. Crown Macro-Tech Series, The ultimate ""Road Warriors"" the Macro-Tech amps can be found in touring systems and major installs all over the world. The world has seen many good amplifiers, but few achieve greatness. What sets these elite few apart from all the others? The answer is simple: A careful synthesis of unrivaled sonic performance combined with rock-solid dependability. While the definition of a great amplifier may be simple, delivering on those requirements is not. This is what has always set Crown amplifiers apart from the others: Crown delivers. From the slightest nuances in the tremolo of a flute to the chest pounding bass of a rock ’n’ roll kick drum to the harmonic rich vocals of a jazz singer, Crown delivers. Crown amplifiers are renowned for their ability to accurately amplify anything audio—with unmatched power and accuracy—night after night without fail. For decades, the formula for creating great amplifiers has been the same at Crown: An insightful combination of genetics, breakthrough technologies, craftsmanship, and passion. This formula, proven over and over, has produced a lineage of great amplifiers: Words and pictures cannot convey what can only be experienced. We challenge you to arrange for a demonstration, and prepare to have your expectations for a great amplifier redefined. No compromises, no gimmicks. Just brilliant engineering backed by superior manufacturing, support, and an unsurpassed commitment to quality. Like all Crown amps, the defining characteristic of the Macro-Tech Series is sonic accuracy. A tight, rock-solid low end, with smooth, detailed highs and a well-defined midrange. In short, the most accurate reproduction of an audio signal you’ve ever heard. And because we put the quality of sound above all else, a Crown is the most coveted amplifier in the business. Crown is a unit of Harman International Industries, Incorporated (www.harman.com). Crown MA 2402VZ, MA 3602VZ, and MA5002VZ Macrotech Power Amps CROWN MA-5002VZ MacroTech Power Amplifier The Crown MacroTech 5002VZ packs an incredible 5000 watts into little more than five inches of vertical rack space. Quite simply, that's more watts per-cubic-inch than any other amplifier. Crown's patented variable impedance (VZ) technology permits the MacroTech 5002VZ to dynamically adapt to both signal and load requirements in real time. This provides the best power match to the widest range of loads. This innovative technology also creates the ability to pack large amounts of power into a compact package while achieving ultra-low distortion and without generating excessive heat. This amp provides all the features found in other MacroTech amplifiers, including separate high-voltage power supplies, detented controls, P.I.P. expandability and comprehensive status indicators. The MacroTech 5002VZ also includes a number of additional features which expands its power and versatility. This includes additional user control over the VZ power supply which allows you to easily set the amplifier for maximum efficiency with your load. It's just another example of how Crown engineers practical solutions for real-world conditions. The MacroTech 5000VZ's universal power supply also allows it to be adapted quickly and easily to available voltages around the world. Features: Product Reviews Summary ( Powered by PowerReviews.com ) Avg. Customer Rating: 5 stars Extremely heavy, but well the money! By Kevin from Wisconsin on 7/17/2009 Pros: Accurate Controls, Clean Sound, Durable, Easy To Set Up, Good Power Best Uses: Audiophiles, Larger Rooms, Touring Describe Yourself: Audiophile, FOH Engineer, Musically Inclined, Professional, Tech Savvy Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend! This in my opinion is THE BEST Crown amp ever built, even better than the I-tech series. I've seen this amp run lower than 2 ohms in a night outside when it was 90 degree's and around 100% humidity. Not a single problem. The amps didn't hiccup, ODEP was never engaged, it just ran and was happy all night long. Running this amp for FOH applications, i've seen it run numerous types of subs and it does so with ease. If you have the money and the muscle to lift it, (it's a beast to try and lift, it's almost 80 pounds) it will be the best addition to your amp rack that money can buy. Also make sure you can power it, don't think of running it on a 15 amp circuit. Displaying Review 2 of 2 Date: 2009-09-17, 4:41PM EDT Product Details: If you want high quality, high power, low weight then the FBT MAXX-4a is your perfect choice. The Maxx 4's are ideal for professional singers and Karaoke Jockeys where quality is paramount. The FBT Maxx4's are a light weight sturdy polypropylene with gas injection moulded speaker, featuring a 12" driver for the low end and a 1" compression driver for the mid/highs. The speakers have multiple flying points for installation purposes and are fitted with 2 speakon sockets for a secure connection. Rate this Product Five Stars “Well I have stumbled across this review site as I contemplated whether or not I should purchase a pair of these FBT Maxx 4a speakers… I am a professional singer and Karaoke Jockey and I’ve recently downsized my rig due to lifting problems. I started with an FBT pick up mixer/amp combo. My agent ordered the pair of FBT Maxx4a speakers for me and I took them out on the road for the 1st time last night. All I can say is… WOW! Truly Amazing! I’ve been on the road for many years and have heard all kinds of speaker systems, from Bose to Electro-Voice, from Turbosound to Ohm and I have to say, that considering how light-weight and compact these speakers are, I was a bit concerned that not only the quality of the cabinet would be affected by this, but also the sound. Visually they remind me of the EV SX Series speaker. So presumably I thought they were a cheap version of the EV cabinet and would fall well below par in comparison… Oh no! How wrong was I…! The sound is crystal clear and the bass is surprisingly punchy for a cabinet as small and light as the FBT Maxx 4’s. The continuous pace I put them through last night was immense and they stood up to the job fantastically. For the price and the benefit of their size and weight, they are an awesome sound cabinet and they out price the comparisons by a long way. For professional singers, bands, and Karaoke Jockey's you can’t go far wrong with these cabinets. For DJ's, they would be excellent with a sub or two, just to give them the extra kick. But overall, FBT Maxx4a’s gives a 10 out of 10 for performance… Oh and vocally??? WOW! I previously used Celestion SR10 MK 2 speakers and they were okay for sound, but not that good for vocals, these FBT Maxx 4a’s even made the worst singers sound good. LOL!” *You can add FBT Maxx4a’s to my Christmas wish list!"
